Dr.
Paul Cimoch is Director and Founder of the Center for Special Immunology
(CSI). Established in Fort Lauderdale, Florida in 1987, CSI is a comprehensive
treatment and clinical research facility dedicated to providing compassionate
care for immune system disorders. Through an integrated health care system,
they manage their patients with a holistic, multidisciplinary approach.
Clinical research protocols allow their patients access to promising new
treatments.
Dr Cimoch has presented research at nine of the past International Conferences
on AIDS and he is the author of many HIV-related publications. He is the
principal investigator for a variety of national multi-center research
studies. Dr Cimoch is an accomplished international lecturer with particular
expertise in immune disorders, nutrition and cytomegalovirus (CMV) disease.
He is past-president of the Physicians Association for AIDS Care
(PAAC) and an attending physician at Fountain Valley Regional
Medical Center in Orange County, California.
Dr. Cimoch received his medical degree from the University of Texas
Medical Branch in Galveston and completed his residency in internal
medicine at the University of Miami School of Medicine and Jackson
Memorial Hospital. He is board certified in internal medicine, forensic
medicine and anti-aging medicine. He is a Fellow of the American
College of Physicians. Dr. Cimoch is a Clinical Assistant Professor
of Medicine at the University of Southern California (USC), School
of Medicine.
Dr. Charles M. Walworth
Dr. Charles M. Walworth received his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at Georgetown University Hospital, where he received the Outstanding Resident Physician Award. In 1993, he became a Medical Staff Fellow in Infectious Diseases at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) where he served as a clinic staff physician for the HIV Clinical Trials Unit. He also served as a commissioned officer in the United States Public Health Service during this period. He came to Orange County in 1996, and continued to conduct clinical trials as a principal investigator and has also developed a large following in primary care and HIV disease.
Dr. Walworth has worked on the Thai-Kampuchean border, training Cambodian medics, and has volunteered at the Hospital de la Familia in Nuevo Progresso Guatemala. He speaks regularly in the field of HIV disease. He is a diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners and American Board of Internal Medicine and is a member of the American Academy of HIV Medicine and the HIV Medical Association. Dr. Walworth has hospital privileges at both Fountain Valley Regional Medical Center and Hoag Hospital.
Dr. Rosemarie Melchor
Dr. Rosemarie Melchor was born and educated in the Philippines, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of the Philippines and a Medical Degree from the University of the East. Upon completion of medical school, she moved to the United States and served her internship and residency at Western Pennsylvania Hospital, Temple University, Pittsburgh. She completed a Fellowship in Medical Education at UCLA-Westwood.
Dr. Melchor is board-certified by the American Board of Family Practice. Her recent working experience includes both clinical medicine and research, as she provided primary care and urgent care at various local hospitals while serving on the faculty of King Drew Medical Center. Dr. Melchor joined the Center for Special Immunology in 2003, where her special interest in immune diseases has allowed her to holistically treat patients suffering from Chronic Fatigue Immune Dysfunction Syndrome (CFIDS) and Fibromyalgia. She also provides primary medical care and is on staff at Fountain Valley Regional Medical Center.

Brief description of you duties at CSI:
Evaluate and treat patient’s at their monthly office visits; evaluate and treat patients with urgent medical problems; triage phone calls; perform initial visits for new patients to the office; supervise the medical assistants; assist in policies and procedure development in the practice.

Running long distance marathons, half marathons, 10K’s.

Short description why you love working at CSI:
I love working at CSI because I feel I am making a difference in peoples lives by working with a physician that practices “cutting edge” medicine. It is very rewarding to work with patients that have a chronic illness and be able to rejoice in their improvements and support them in their times of need.
